The Girls and Ey

"The Girls and Ey" originates from the fact that the game was made by the only three girls (Heather Arbiter, Sela Davis and Kelley Piering) in the class and the masters program at the Rochester Institute of Technology and Mike Ey. Mike's last name is actually pronounced like "eye", making the name a clever pun.

Heather Arbiter

Heather Arbiter is currently a graduate student in Game Design and Development at RIT. She obtained a BS in Computer Science at SUNY Stony Brook but her goal has always been to work in the games industry. As a designer with experience in digital art and programming, she is comfortable working with both artists and programmers. Heather is a strong supporter of the use of MediaWiki in game design and development and is working on ways to improve its use for those purposes.

Sela Davis

Sela Davis

Sela Davis is a second-year graduate student in RIT's Game Design and Development program. Her specialties are in digital audio composition and production, and she also has a background in metal jewelry and sculpture. Her particular areas of interest are currently in dynamic audio generation, gender in games, and games as art. Sela is currently a Network Writer for Total Gaming Network, a weekly columnist for Nerd Girl Pinups, and a proud IGDA and GANG member.

Michael Ey

Mike Ey is currently a graduate student in Game Design and Development at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He received a Bachelors in Computer Science from the same institution. Some of his development interests include game engine design and non-photorealistic rendering techniques. He especially enjoys fighting games and shmups but plays almost anything.

Kelley Piering

Kelley is currently pursuing a masters degree in Game Design and Development at the Rochester Institute of Technology. She got her Bachelors in New Media Interactive Development in three years at RIT and decided to stay for her Masters. She has a desire to make games that anyone of any age can pick up and have fun with. Kelley enjoys playing RPGs and the quirky weird games, Chibi-Robo being one of her favorites. Kelley has portrayed herself as drawing because she does not like photos and she was the artist on the team.
